PHC won the toss at the Southampton Oval and decided to send the champions Southampton Rangers to bat. Curtis Jackson and Dion Stovall the Southampton Rangers opening bats go off to a flying start with 50 runs on the board in 5 overs, however PHC was able to pull them back after Kevin Tucker had Jackson caught by Ricardo Brangman.
In the end PHC bowled Southampton Rangers all out for 204 with Stovall the top scorer with 78, while Shannon Raynor added 29. Tucker had bowling figures of 10-0-43-3 and Dean Stephens bowled 6-0-51-3.
In reply PHC scored 206/8, with Jason Anderson scoring 77 not out, while former Southampton Rangers player/coach and present PHC player/coach Clevie Wade added 33. Ryan Belboda had bowling figures of 10-0-32-2 for Southampton who also had figures of 10-2-45-2 from Stovall.
