Greg Maybury and his Oakham XI teammates on a hot day travelled to Stamford and were made to field first.
Oakham started well and had Stamford 65 for 2 at drinks, thanks to 2 wickets from Alex Martin. Then from drinks Oakham dominated, picking up wickets at regular intervals. Without too many difficulties Oakham managed to bowl Stamford all out for 132. Martin finished with 4 wickets, while Chris Billows grabbed 3 wickets and Maybury took 2.
Oakham batted, getting off to a solid start reaching 65 for 1 after 10 overs, James Keywood the only man to be dismissed was the out batsman. From then on it was a breeze with Will Edwards and Tom Fell finishing the game off before 20 overs both finished with unbeaten fifties.
