Jarryd Dillas and Nick Mansell departed today for the prestigious Kinnear Glencoe Invitational in Calgary Alberta.
Both players had great performances during the Bermuda Amateur Match Play Championship with Dillas defeating Mansell 2 and 1 in what could have been described as one of the worst playable condition the island has seen.
The Glencoe Invitational will take place June 24th – June 26th, 2010. It is a three round tournament featuring some of the top amateurs from Ontario, Alberta, British Colombia, Quebec, USA, New Zealand and others.
The 2008 and 2009 champions, Jordan Irwin and Mitch Evanecz have both earned Status on the Canadian Tour after turning professional. Other notables in the event have been World number 1 amateur Nick Taylor, Scott Stiles Senan Foley and Rick Heenan, all who have claimed victory at other highly ranked amateur events in the Canadian area.
