On July 24, 2010, Jiketsu Martial Productions will be hosting a night of quality pugilist action. This will be one of many like events produced by our company. The last such event prepared Teresa Perozzi for her professional match in Sweden. The event was such a resounding success that it received honors in the House of Assembly the following week.
Our production team is working diligently to assist Perozzi in realizing her final aspirations as a professional boxer for the next three years. To this end, we are seeking assistance from the Department of Youth and Sport in making the event a success measurable to none.
Jiketsu Martial Productions (JMP) is proud to feature SMASHDOWN on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at the Berkeley Institute Gymnasium in Pembroke, Bermuda.
This event will feature the disciplines of Sanshou, Boxing, Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts providing for a full night of crushing martial arts action.
On June 23rd, 2007, International guests from the United States (Taningco Academy of Martial Arts - TAMA) and Barbados (International Chameleon Combat Karate Federation - ICCKF), alongside the Bermuda Sanshou Association (BSA), displayed their enduring skills at Jiketsu’s inaugural event, SANSHOU SHOWDOWN.

Perozzi, Bermuda’s female middleweight NABC World Champion was also featured in a victorious professional bout against Yvonne Reis in preparation for her September 15, 2007 middleweight title fight in Karlstad, Sweden against Asa Maria Sadell. SANSHOU SHOWDOWN proved to be a resounding success for the athletes/coaches, fans and Jiketsu Martial Productions.
On September 13th, 2008, three of Bermuda’s most recognized boxing clubs— Controversy Boxing Gym, Police Boxing Gym and Forty Rego’s Boxing Gym—battled for the top cash prize and acclaim as Bermuda’s ultimate fighters at FISTS OF FURY: Ultimate Fighters Championship.

In addition to the cash prizes, each club fought for supplementary awards that were determined by the number of victories per club, skill and sportsmanship of the fighter, professionalism of the fighter and their corner and a mandatory mitt demonstration.
On July 24th, 2010, SMASHDOWN promises to be JMP’s most spectacular production to date. The event will be publicized via all forms of media and will be professionally filmed and streamed live via the Internet by Bermuda Sports Network and later televised on Pay Per View. This event will also host some of the world’s most accomplished and respected martial artists, celebrities and guests.
