Pearson's Training Update

IslandStats.com
Shelley Pearson is one week into her Training quest to represent Bermuda at the 2012 Olympics.

Pearson answered a few questions put to her by www.islandstats.com.

Q. What time does your training day start?

A.
We have practice from 6-8 in the morning every day and then 6-8 at night on Tuesday and Thursday too.

Q. What does a training day consist of?

A.
With the team we do mostly drills and steady state at this point, but then I do cardio as well and alternate between weights and yoga”.

Q. How many times during this first week have you said to yourself I want to give up?

A.
I can't say I've ever said that I want to give up. If I'm incredibly tired I might not do one of the extra workouts, but I've never wanted to give up.

Q. How difficult is the scull?

A.
I'm actually quite enjoying sculling. It's a totally different ball game, but I'm coming to enjoy the motion of it and the small boat feel.
