Jarryd Dillas was 18 holes away from his dream of playing in a PGA Major Event, Dillas was playing a 36 hole U.S. Open Sectional Qualifying tournament in Atlanta.
Dillas was playing the 36 hole qualifier at the Ansley’s Settindown Creek 18-hole championship course located in Roswell, Georgia were 28 players are playing for 2 spots.
Dillas shot a First Round 1-under Par 71 and was in third place, Dillas shot 4 Birdies, 11 Pars and 3 Bogey’s in his Round.
Dillas will start his Second Round only one stroke behind the second place spot, after being one of only six players to shoot Even or better, however the second round did not go according to plan.
Dillas started out on the back nine and shot a 8-over Par 80 to finish T14th. Dillas’ Second Round shot 1 Birdie, 10 Pars, 5 Bogey’s and 2 Double Bogey’s.
