Jarryd Dillas has begun, what he and many others hopes is the continuation of success, Dillas departed Bermuda yesterday to begin his quest to play in the US Open.
Dillas is set to play a 36 hole qualifier at the Ansley’s Settindown Creek 18-hole championship course located in Roswell, Georgia were 28 players are playing for 2 spots.
If successful Dillas will forgo the opportunity to play in the Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championship which will be played at the Port Royal Golf Club, June 18th – June 21st, as the US Open is scheduled for June 17th - 20th.
Once he finishes with either the US Open or the Stroke Play Dillas and Nick Mansell will travel to the prestigious Kinnear Glencoe Invitational in Calgary Alberta.
The Glencoe Invitational will take place June 24th – June 26th, 2010. It is a three round tournament featuring some of the top amateurs from Ontario, Alberta, British Colombia, Quebec, USA, New Zealand and others.
