Jack Daniel’s Golf Tour
Earlier this week saw the next round of the Jack Daniel’s Golf Tour the official tour of the PGA of Bermuda played at Tucker’s Point Club.
The course was in near perfect condition scores were expected to be low, and with a record number of competitors, no one seemed ready to take Scott Roy the order of merit leader on. Roy shot a steady 70 and with the other players not making the putts on the silky smooth greens it was another easy win.
finished second one stroke behind Roy, while Daniel Augustus again had a steady round and it will be interesting if he can get his game together and make some good scores now that the golf courses are playing easier without the windy conditions that plagued the tour earlier in the season.
Brian Morris who shot a 77 should be a challenger in future weeks now that he is playing full time. Shooting 78 Andrew Bissell should also be a player to look out for now that he has got used to his new custom fitted Callaway’s.

Also earlier this week the Mid Ocean Ladies hosted the professionals of the PGA of Bermuda for there annual Pro-Am, this is a great event as the ladies get to play with the local pro’s in a fun format, and the course was playing beautifully with the tricky greens playing very fast.
Paul Adams, Head Professional at Tucker’s Point Club, took 1st place by one stroke from Scott Roy’s team, and it took some great play by Adams’ team of Carol Hammond, Judy Kitson and Sheila Wheeler to win, the team managed 4 gross Eagles which included 2 shots being holed out from the fairway, more than 100 yards out. Adams said ‘ On the second hole I managed an Eagle 3 but it did not count as Hammond made a gross 3 net 2 albatross.’
