Wayne Scott Wins Memorial Race

Wayne Scott outkicked two of his teammates to win the Sinclair Packwood Memorial Cycle Race.

On wet and slippery roads Chris Faria jumped out to a huge lead, Faria held the lead until the pack caught him outside the SAL Gate. After several battles with people taking turns going out infront, things began to heat up when youngster Alex Godfrey led the pack along Front Street until disaster struck for Garth Thomson who was making his move going up Queen Street, as the pack made the turn on the corner Thomson skidded out and other riders were forced to go around him, out of the Wayne Scott pushed to the front holding off his teammates Mark Hatherly and Darren Glasford to ride away with the victory in a time of 29:20.2.

Sarah Bonnett won the Female Open Divison completing the course in a time of 30:49.6, while Gabby Arnold won the Junior Female Division race in a time of 38:43.3 and Treshun Correia won the Junior Male Division Race in 29:26.4.
