Apex 3 Storm 7
1st Period
Chris Caisey gave the Storm the lead and Domico Coddington doubled the lead with five minute remaining in the period. Dimitri Butterfield scored with a minute to go for the Storm to make the score 3 – 0.
2nd Period
With 10:50 remaining Caisey scored after Apex goalkeeper Winslow Williams could not hold on to a shot, making the score 4 – 0 to the Storm. Jahron Dickinson pulled a goal back for Apex making the score 4 – 1, but with 3:20 remaining Coddington scored his second goal of the game beating Williams on a shootout goal.
3rd Period
With 10 minutes remaining in the period, Dickinson scored his second goal of the game for Apex making the score 5 – 2. Kiwon Dill scored for Apex from close range with four minutes on the clock to making the score 5 – 3.
4th Period
Kwame Steede blasted a right footed shot home to give the Storm a 6 – 3 lead with four minutes remaining, two minutes later Grant Mackeller gave the Storm a 7 – 3 lead.
Knights 8 Titans 7 – Sudden Death Overtime
1st Period
Kyle Jones gave the Titans the lead with three minutes remaining when he scored from close range following a run from Kwonde Lathan Butterfield. Mikre Pace doubled the lead with a low shot. Jones scored a blistering shot that left the Knights goalkeeper stranded giving the Titans a 3 – 0 lead.
2nd Period
Aljame Zuill pulled a goal back for the Knights converting from the penalty spot with nine minutes remaining. Lathan Butterfield scored a left footed shot for the Titans to make the score 4 – 1 with seven minutes remaining. Jones completed his hat-trick when he finished a clinical build up making the score 5 – 1, but with 15 seconds remaining Ryan Purnell pulled a goal back for the Knights making the half time score 5 – 2.
3rd Period
Purnell scored with less than one minute gone off the clock in the period making the score 5 – 3. Another Purnell goal this time with 2:30 remaining in the period made it a one goal game, but with less than a minute on the clock a Zeko White right footed shot restored the Titans two goal lead going into the final period.
4th Period
Zuillheaded the Knights back into the game making the score 6 – 5 with seven minutes remaining, however Anthony Rocker restored the Titans two goal lead when he converted from the penalty spot with 4 minutes to go, but Ian Coke pulled the Knights within one goal thirty seconds later. Zuill then leveled the score with less than 20 seconds left on the clock.
Sudden Death Overtime
Ian Coke struck a unstoppable right footed shot two minutes into the sudden death overtime period to complete the comeback.
