Shahnel Woodley and the UNLV women's track and field team begins its postseason by heading to the 2010 Mountain West Conference Outdoor Championships, which are being held at the University of New Mexico Track and Field Complex.
Rebel head coach Yvonne Scott will send a contingent of 22 student-athletes to the meet, and she expects to improve upon last year's eighth-place finish from the 2009 meet. In fact, if UNLV can get solid performances through the two main days of the meet, Scott believes a finish in the top half of the conference is not out of the question if everything breaks right for her squad.
In the 100 meters Woodley has turned in the fourth-best time of 11.95 in the league, while also running the third-fastest time in the 200 meters clocking 24.22 as well.
