The 43rd Annual Glenn D. Loucks Games in White Plains High School, White Plains, NY got underway with Mid-Island Striders Track Club members Tyra Stovell and Shawnae Brangman both making it to the 100m Finals.
Brangman competed in Heat 1 finished second with a time of 12.35, while Stovell finished second in Heat 6 with a time of 12.41. in the final, Stovell finished 6th in a time of 12.52 and Brangman finished 8th with a time of 12.61.
Stovell also competed in the Women’s Long Jump, Stovell finished 8th with a leap of 5.24, Stovell injured her knee and was unable to make her last attempt, while Christian Wright finished third in the Men’s Long Jump with a leap of 6.69.
Dale Eve finished 6th in Heat 1 of the Men’s 100 meters and failed to make it to the Finals, Eve also finished 25th in the Men’s Long Jump with a leap of 5.93m..
