Derriek Douglas got his revenge after a disastrous back nine in the PGA Championship to win with a solid 2-over par 72 to win by one stroke, Douglas was followed closely by a host of professionals Twilton Smith, Daniel Augustus and Brian Morris all shot 3-over par 73 and Paul Adams just missed out on the money with a 4-over par 74.
The next round is at Fairmont Southampton, Scott Roy who has been on fire of later will want to get back on track, while Augustus will not play as he is will be attending a US Open qualifier it could be anyone’s tournament. Keith Smith could be the favorite now he is devoting all his time to golf, but Douglas will want to show that this win was not fluke.
