Monday May 3rd sees the next installment of the Jack Daniels Golf Tour, with Daniel Augustus making his debut as a PGA of Bermuda member, Augustus had to meet the qualifying standard in order to play in PGA of Bermuda Events.
Augustus played in the three rounds of the PGA of Bermuda Strokeplay Championships that took place last week at the Tuckers Point Golf Course, Augustus then went around for a fourth and Final round the next day he shot 68 in his last round of qualifying to meet the scoring requirement comfortably.
Augustus is now a class “C” member of the PGA of Bermuda and it will be interesting to see what he can score against Scott Roy the newly crowned PGA stroke play champion.
More than likely the PGA of Bermuda will now get coverage from other media and with Riddell’s Bay playing short it may be a dark horse that can walk away with the win.
Scoring is expected to be low with ideal scoring conditions, a course record maybe in sight and certainly a score in the sixties will be needed to win.
