The Smith’s Wildcats found themselves down 13 - 10 to the St. George’s International’s with 14:28 on the clock in the first half and after a time out they went on a 17 – 12 run to lead 30 - 22 with 4:51 remaining. The Wildcats continued to dominate the half extending their lead to 12 with 3:19 remaining. At the half the Wildcats held a 15 point win 42 - 27. Smith's Wildcats leading scorer at the break was 2009 Premier Basketball League MVP Ryan Rabain who had 10 points, while Charjuan Knight and Junior Warner both had 6 points at half for St. George’s.
In the second half, although St. George’s scored 39 points the Smith’s Wildcats stayed in control scoring 38 points to win by 14 points 80 – 66 and go unbeaten during the season on their way to winning the title. Steven Simons led the Smith’s Wildcats to victory pouring in 22 points, while the St. George's International’s leading scorer was Damon Saunders who also had 22 points.
Following the game it was announced that Simons was the 2010 PBL MVP.
