The Bermuda National teams will be embarking on a tour tomorrow to compete against the Cayman Islands from April 29th to May 3rd. The Senior match is recognized by the International Rugby Board as a full International match, with caps being awarded to the players. We are also taking our representative sides at U10, U12, U14 & U16 age levels. The only age group not joining us is our U19 team who are training and gearing up for the U19 Caribbean Championships in August. We have named a strong senior squad to travel, as this will be a tough match against a quality opponent. The game will count towards Bermuda’s IRB World Ranking status (currently 57th out of 95 ranked countries - source: http://www.irb.com/rankings/full.html ) Each of the age groups have done car washes, bake sales, a KBB cleanup and other fund raising activities. The funds raised for the players go directly towards their costs. To transport everyone to Cayman (120, including players, coaches and chaperones), a plane has been chartered from Miami Air who have flown to both locations several times in the past. The plane is a Boeing 737-800 (172 seats).
