The first round of the PGA of Bermuda Strokeplay was completed at the Tuckers Point Golf Course. The players found the golf course playing firm and fast and the blustery winds was making it difficult to hold the greens.
Tournament favorite Scott Roy has taken a 5 shot lead over Derriek Douglas and Dwayne Pearman after shooting a First Round 2-over par 72. Douglas and Pearman shot 7-over par’s 77’s.
Keith Smith is a further stroke back, while Brian Morris should have done better had it not been for a 9 on the tricky 12th hole! With thunder storms predicted tomorrow, the tee times may be delayed.
