The St. John’s track & field team captured its third straight Metropolitan Championships title at Ramapo College in New Jersey.
Senior Pamela Petruski also captured third, running a 2:18.61 in the 800-meter race. Junior Kim Piard finished fourth while freshman Alexis Bean finished 10th in Heat One in a time of 2:34.81 to finish 21st overall.
Arantxa King
Stanford track and field completed at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational. Both Male & Female teams had a large contingent of athletes compete with great results, particularly in the sprints. Arantxa King led Stanford in the long jump with a season-best leap of 20-10 ¾. Brittni Dixon-Smith (19-11 ½) and Karynn Dunn (19-2) also competed.
