No. 4 Yale swept five races from Shelly Pearson and her No. 20 Harvard heavyweight crew teammates, including a thrilling finish in Pearson’s second varsity eight race on the Housatonic River.
Yale’s second varsity go he better of Pearson and her second varsity eight by one-fifth of a second. It was a neck-and-neck race throughout, with Yale pulling slightly ahead in the last 500 meters. Harvard rowed back into Yale, but they were able to get their bow ball across the finish line first in 6:20.2.
