Day 3 of the 39th Carifta Games Championship got underway at the Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town, Grand Cayman Island, B.W. I.
Bermuda picked up a Silver and Bronze medal in the Men’s 800 Meter Run Under 20, when Shaquille Dill finished second in a time of 1:53.31 and Henry Stevens-Carty finished third in 1:53.45.
Jeneko Place won the Silver Medal in the Boys 200 Meter Dash Under 17 race when he crossed the line second in a time of 21.27.
Christian Wright won the Bronze Medal in the Boys Long Jump Under 17, with a leap of 6.66m, Wright’s Bronze Medal leap came on his sixth and final jump. Akeila Richardson grabbed a Bronze Medal in the Girls Triple Jump Under 17 with a leap of 11.68m. Richardson’s Bronze Medal leap came on her third attempt.
Tristan Joynes failed to qualify for the Men 110 Meter Hurdles Under 20 final when he finished 9th overall in a time of 14.82. Shawn Herman did not finish the Men 5000 Meter Run Open Final.
