Bermuda were up mid way through first half 21 - 6 through converted Tries by Andrew Hook from Teachers, Tom Edwards from Police and Ian Henderson from the Renegades, however Brown University came back strong and scored two tries with strong running in their Centres to get back within 1 point at half time 21 - 20.
Just after the interval Brown rumbled over from close range to take the lead 27-21, but Man of the Match Hook playing at No.8 supported a Backs move out wide and received the final pass to score his second of the match which Henderson converted from wide out to restore a 1 point advantage for Bermuda 28-27.
With 15 minutes remaining and Bermuda clinging on against a fitter American side Teachers player Dave Porter intercepted a loose pass and ran 40 yards for the winning Try. The conversion was missed, but time ran out on Brown as they went looking for the Try that would have won them the game. Bermuda held on to win 33 - 27.
