Henry Stevens-Carty
Stevens-Carty competed in the Cobb County Track meet this evening finishing 1st in the 800m in a time of 1:52.4 which is a Personal Best for him and qualifies him for the CAC Junior Championships and the CAC Games, he also broke the track record that been standing since 1995 which was 1:54.08.
Stevens-Carty also won the 1600m, he is now the #1 athlete in the Cobb County area in the 800m and 1600m.
Bermuda Track and Field President Donna Watson said, “This is a great result in preparation for Carifta and with a performance like that should put Stevens-Carty in medal contention”.
Shahnel Woodley
Paced by their 4x100m relay squad, Woodley and the UNLV women's track and field team finished in the top 10 overall at the Cal-Nevada Championships, which wrapped at Drake Stadium on the campus of UCLA.
Comprised of Chauncey David-Jacobs, Woodley, Candise Maxwell and Emily Blok, the 4x100 relay team clocked a season-best time of 45.51 to win the event. David-Jacobs and Woodley added top-10 finishes in two events each as well.
