 Action from Police Field IslandStats.com Brown University did not get their Tour of Bermuda off to the start they were looking for when they went down 31 – 24 to Police at Police Field.
Dave Pringle gave the Police the lead in the 4th minute when he made a break through the Brown defense and scored, Mike Kane chipped in the Conversion for the 7 – 0 lead. Seven minutes later Pringle scored another Try and when Kane kicked the Conversion Police held a 14 – 0 lead, Dave Bird went over for a Try in the 34th minute for Police, however the Conversion was missed as they took a 19 – 0 lead at the break.
In the 45th minute Police went ahead 26 – 0, when Ross Fitz playing his first game scored a Try and Kane kicked the Conversion, this is when Brown University began to come to life. In the 57th minute Brown University got on the scoreboard, James McGinn ran some 25 meters to score a Try and Sam Rabb kicked the Conversion to make the score 26 – 7, with the Police legs beginning to show a bit of wear and tear Brown University struck again seven minutes later, this time it was Down Travis scoring the Try and Rabb the Conversion to make the score 26 – 14. Three minutes later Rabb scored a Try, but missed the Conversion to pull Brown University within 7 making the score 26 – 19, however two minutes later Adriaan Vandermerwe scored a Try for Police to make the score 31 – 19. Brown University did not give up as ,b>Rabb scored his second Try of the game to make the final score 31 – 24.
