Phillips & APOEL Out Of Europe
Roanne from France have advanced to the Semi-Finals of the EuroChallenge following to 2 – 0 win over Sullivan Phillips and his APOEL teammates from Cyprus.

The French team celebrated the second win in the series against APOEL to punch their ticket into the next round with a 84 – 78 win. Ralph Mims scored 25 points to pace the winners.

Phillips who was one of four APOEL players to reach double figures, played 30 minutes, going 4 for 7 from the field that included one for one from behind the three point line, Phillips also went 1 for 2 from the free throw line for his ten points.

The teams went neck and neck in the opening period. The lead changed hands for several times before David Noel closed out the quarter with a dunk giving Roanne a 25:23 advantage.

Nsonwu, Ralph Mims, Dia and David Noel organized a 14-0 run midway through the second quarter as they held a 15-point lead however APOEL managed to cut the deficit at 12-point mark at the interval.

Phillips tipped off the third quarter with a layup to narrow the margin but Ralph Mims and Dylan Page kept Roanne rolling. Brandon Heath and Dozet dragged APOEL back into contest as they cut the deficit at one point with just over a minute remaining. Amagou replied with a free throw and Roanne headed into the fourth term ahead by two points 63:61. Ralph Mims and Dylan Page quickly boosted the lead to 7 points at the start of the final frame.

Brandon Heath kept APOEL in the game narrowing the deficit on several occasions. But Dylan Page came up with five points late in regulation and Roanne escaped with the decisive win at the end.
