Jenaya Wade-Fray
Wade-Fray and her Chattanooga Women’s Basketball Teammates are the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Champions.
Shanara Hollinquest scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds, as Chattanooga came back from an 11-point deficit in the final 12 minutes to defeat Samford 72-67 in the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Tournament Championship game in Time Warner Cable Arena.
Michelle Davis scored 16 points for Chattanooga, and Wade-Fray added 11 points and nine rebounds. Kayla Christopher finished with 11 points and four boards. Chattanooga shot 50 percent in the second half and made all four attempts from the field in the final 3:23 of the contest
With the score tied 58-58, Chattanooga’s Tenisha Townsend hit a triple, and after Hill answered with two free throws for Samford, Davis connected on a 3-pointer from the top of the key to give Chattanooga a 64-60 lead with 1:27 to play.
Chattanooga got a defensive stop, and Townsend made 1-of-2 from the charity stripe to make the lead 65-60. After a Maxwell layup for Samford with 35 seconds left on the clock, Samford elected to foul. Christopher and Wade-Fray combined to go 3-for-4 from the line to open a 68-62 lead with 22 seconds left.
Trailing by 11 points with 12 minutes left, Chattanooga scored 10 straight to get within a point at 50-49 with 6:59 remaining. Wade-Fray and Hollinquest each scored four in the run.
In thirty-six minutes of action, Wade-Fray also had 1 assist, 1 blocked shot and 1 steal.
Erica Woods
 Woods and her Marshall Women’s Basketball teammates went down to the University of Central Florida (UCF) in the opening round of the 2010 Conference USA Championship.
Tynikki Crook recorded her seventh double-double in as many Conference USA Tournament games, but Chelsie Wiley countered with 19 to lead UCF to a 59-57 win over the Marshall.
Crook scored 18 points while grabbing 12 rebounds while Mystee Dale had a career-high 21 points, including a 10- of-13 performance from the free throw line.
Woods went 2 for 3 from field, 1 for 2 from free throw line for her five points, she also grabbed 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
