On March 20th and 21st, Tyler Lopes will travel to the second 2010 Caribbean Equestrian Association’s (CEA) Junior Jumping Competition leg for Bermuda in the Grand Cayman Islands.
Lopes will be accompanied by another rider who will be making her international debut, Julia Lines.
Lines who rides out of Spiceland’s Riding Centre won the CEA trials two weeks ago and she is looking forward to the competition. She will ride in the 14 & under age group while Lopes will ride in the 16 & under age group.
This competition tests the riders’ skills as they ride local horses and only have five minutes to get used to them. Bermuda will compete against host country Cayman, Jamaica and Trinidad. The BEF wishes both riders much success in Cayman.
The Bermuda leg of the competition will be held on May 8th and 9th, 2010 and will play host to Barbados, Cayman, and Jamaica.
