The format for this CEA Trial was a two round competition that was held over identical courses with the height of fences not to exceed 0.80m. The Competitors competed in the first round on their own horse/pony and were required to draw a horse/pony from those entered for their second round.
The competition was against the clock, for both rounds, and competitors were placed in accordance with the time taken and total faults over the two rounds.
In the CEA Trial Class 14 years and Under First Round Jaydayna Samuels riding Dream Catcher finished in a time of 51.87 with 0 faults. Khaleb Tota riding Zealous Zen Zuri finished with a time of 56.13, but had 8 faults. Julia Lines riding Ready or Not finish with a time of 49.83 with 0 faults, while Jaeda Smith and Stetson finished with a time of 56.61 with 0 faults and Haley Ball riding Nikolavita was thrown off during her ride.
In the CEA Trial Class 14 years and Under 2nd Round Khaleb Tota riding Stetson was first in the ring and the pair finished in a time of 50.32 with 0 faults, Jaydayna Samuels entered riding Ready or Not finished in a time of 50.53 with 0 faults. Jaeda Smith and Nikolavita finished in a time of 56.63 and 0 faults, while Julia Lines recorded a time of 50.53 with 0 faults. Haley Ball withdrew.
Tyler Lopes riding Bailey’s Bay was the only competitor in the CEA Trial Class 16 years and Under First Round recorded a time of 64.13, as Lopes was the only competitor in the 16 & Under competition he was only required to jump once. Lopes actually qualified by age for the 14 & Under age group but has elected to upgrade to the 16 & Under age group.
