Bermuda has been declared the 2010 FEI World Dressage Challenge Group 10 Champions. This competition is in its 30th year with an estimated 57 countries having participated in 2009.
Bermuda finished the top of the FEI World Dressage Challenge Group 10 that comprised Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and Cayman.
Bermuda competed at the Bermuda Equestrian Center at Vesey Street and they scored 67%, this saw them finish ahead of Cayman and Trinidad & Tobago.
With no other reporters at the venue, the Bermuda competitors took to the performing area under the watchful eye of judges Ricardo Rojas-Cruz from Costa Rica and Rosa Cristina Franco Morales from Colombia.
Dawn Fox recorded the best score of the event when she competed in the Elementary A Class riding Lancelot, the pair had a score of 69.730, while Ashley Gibbs riding Landtango had a score of 67.069 in the Preliminary C Class. Competing in the Medium A Class riding Wirianna Suzette Sailsman recorded a score of 64.250 and Ann Lindroth riding After Dark in the Elementary A Class.
