In Ladies Rugby action at the National Sports Center saw the Mariners Ladies defeat the Police Ladies 3 – 2. Chantel Brown scored twice for the Mariners Ladies, while Abbey MacPherson added the other. The Police Ladies got Try’s from Liz Copeland and Tammy Hall.
In the other Ladies match up, the Renegades Ladies got Try’s from Melissa Field and Jess Gilbert as they defeated the Teachers Ladies 2 – 0.
In Men’s action, the game between Police and the Mariners was used as a league match and the Paul Marsden Memorial game. Tommy Edwards scored a Try, a Penalty and a Conversion to help Police come from behind to defeat the Mariners 15 – 11. Paul Davis scored the other Try for the winners, while Steve Husbands scored a Try and Mark Pomeroy kicked two Penalties for the Mariners.
The Teachers defeated the Renegades 19 – 8, James Dockeray scored a Try and Greg Fraser kicked four Penalties and a Conversion for the Teachers, while Tom Healy scored a Try and Darragh O’Donoghue kicked a Penalty for the Renegades.
