Day 4 - World Rugby Classic

Argentina 14 Canada 7


Inside the first five minutes Canada took the lead when Eric Forsyth went over for the Try and Morgan Williams kicked the Conversion for the 7 - 0 lead. With six minute remaining in the half the scores were level when Leandro Lobrauco scored a Try and Estebon Durrante kicked the Conversion.

With 23;15 remaining in the second half, Frederico Maandez gave Argentina the lead when he went over for a Try and Durrante kicked the Coversion to take a 14 - 7 lead. Canada came close to scoring in the closing minutes t were denied the score by a strong Argentina defense. With the win Argentina will advance to the Plate Final to meet Australia on Saturday.

World Rugby Classic Semi-Final

New Zealand 5 South Africa 0


With a place in the World Rugby Classic Final at stake the two teams have battled more than 15 minutes in the center of the field looking for the first Try. Jackie Tarrant gave New Zealand the lead with 12 minutes remaining in the first half and with the Conversion missed they took a 5 - 0 lead. Neither team could break down the other for the remainder of the half as New Zealand take a 5 - 0 lead into the break.

The second half saw a battle in the middle of the field as neither team could score as New Zealand advance to face the defending champions Classic Lions in the 22nd World Rugby Classic Final on Saturday.
