Visiting Willing Rugby Club defeated the Bermuda Select when they got two Try’s from James Williams, while Alan Thomas scored a Try for Bermuda who also got a Conversion and two penalties from Eoghan O’Dwyer.

After 60 minutes of regulation, ten minutes of extra time and ten minutes of sudden death this game was decided on penalties as France advanced to the Semi-Finals with this 3 – 2 win.

Rory Jenkins gave the World Rugby Classic defending champions the start they were looking for, when he scored a Try to make the score 5 – 0. Chris Smith made it 10 – 0 to the Classic Lions. Barry Williams put the Classic Lions up 15 – 0 when he scored a Try and Derek McAleese kicked the Conversion to make the score 17 – 0. With 11:21 remaining in the second half Scott Benton’s diving Try put the Classic Lions up 22 – 0 and then Dave Scully kicked the Conversion to make it 24 – 0. David Fee scored a Try for the Classic Eagles to make the score 24 – 5 and with 5:00 remaining on the clock Colin Charvis scored a Try for the Classic Lions to make the final score 29 – 5 and advance to face France in the Semi-Finals.
