Bermuda Climb 3 Ranking Places

IslandStats.com
Bermuda may have lost 32-19 to Trinidad & Tobago in a one-off match at the University of West Indies Grounds in St Augustine on Saturday that was reported by www.islandstats.com, but they have still climbed three places to 58th in the latest IRB World Rankings on the back of a victory over Barbados a few days earlier.

Bermuda’s 47-5 win over Barbados in Bridgetown last Wednesday had provisionally seen Bermuda climb above European trio Slovenia, Serbia and Latvia, while resulting in a six place fall for their hosts to 76th.

Bermuda could potentially have climbed as high as 48th with a convincing victory over the higher ranked Trinidad & Tobago, but two tries apiece from wings Mark Hamilton and Andre Cabera ensured they did not make it two wins in seven days.

The win sees Trinidad & Tobago improve their own rankings by two places, climbing above African sides Zimbabwe and Madagascar and to within eight tenths of Arabian Gulf above in 45th.
