The Bermuda National Men’s Rugby Team won the first of their two international matches when they defeated Barbados 47 - 5 in Barbados.
On a warm evening Bermuda put together a good team performance, as Andrew Hook scored a Try to give Bermuda the lead. Back to back penalties from Eoghan O’Dwyer extended Bermuda’s lead to 11 - 0 and when Kris Furbert scored a Try just before the break Bermuda held a 16 - 0 lead at half time.
Darragh O’Donoghue scored a Try early in the second half to extend Bermuda’s lead, before Furbert went over for another Try and when O’Dwyer kicked the conversion Bermuda’s lead was 28 - 0. Steven Husbands got his name on the score sheet when he scored a Try and O’Dwyer kicked the conversion, then Tom Edwards scored a Try with O’Dwyer kicking another conversion to make the score 42 - 0. O’Dwyer scored Bermuda’s final Try of the game to make the score 47 - 0, before Durall Briais scored a Try for the home team on the stroke of full time.
