Countdown to King of the Rock

IslandStats.com
This Labor Day weekend three of Canada’s own will be tearing up the fields at National Stadium. Mike Totman President of the Bermuda Lacrosse Association says, “Come watch as some of Canada’s past, present, and future lacrosse stars compete against the American clubs and local favorites to see just who will be crowned King of the Rock”.

“History will be made as the NCAA’s all time leading goal scorer teams up with Canada’s veteran faceoff specialist Rodney Tapp to ignite the fastest action you will ever see in sports here in Bermuda. Laying the hits at the defensive end will be the rising talent Justin Archer, six-foot-three, two hundred and fifty pounds of lightning in a bottle ready to destroy anyone who gets too close to the goal”, continued Totman.

The festivities start at 9am Saturday as Bermuda’s Warwick Gombey Troupe opens the second annual celebration of Bermuda’s newest national sport. Just after that we will see Canada take on the Fat Rhinos club from New England.

Totman went on to say, “Thanks to a partnership with M3 Wireless and Inside Lacrosse Magazine fans will have an all access back stage pass to all the action throughout the weekend. We will be blogging live from the games and including any interesting off field action that comes to pass as our lacrosse guests enjoy themselves on the beautiful island of Bermuda. Check www.InsideLacrosse.com throughout the weekend for updates”.

“Youth players are encouraged to come out to watch and get a feel for the game as we prepare for the second youth season set to faceoff this fall”, concluded Totman
